![]() ![]() Now I'm re-reading this and see where I was supposed to be able to pop it out with no tank removal needed?! I had to virtually remove everything, tank included. The YouTube videos I found regarding the snorkel said to cut the rubber piece of the snorkel that goes down into my intake and screw it back in, so that is what I did. It was late and I was tired, when I put my bike back together after receiving my flash back. Nels recommended to remove the snorkel back in March so when I sent my ECU in I said to go-ahead and flash for removed snorkel. ![]() I finally got it flashed! And now I'm laying in bed and I think I messed up. So I'm completely reviving this thread again lol. Though I find myself regretting not going with WoolichRacing's kit because I want to be able to log discretely, though idk if 2WDW has a file with them. Then add on top the option to upgrade to their ActiveTune kit later on in case you do lots of fuel changes or even cross country riding. If you don't mind the downtime of sending the ECU out and don't need changes, then yea of course the mail-in option will fit you better, but if you want to ride the bike with minimal downtime, and have the ability to change things on your own, that is worth it to me. ![]() You get the agency of being able to instantly change what you need, while still having a complete flash file from 2WDW. You get the same benefit of plug and play, but without sending anything out, they send you the flash itself. The pro of having the kit is to be able to do flashes on the fly. How does that not make sense? There's pros and cons for both. I don't get impressed easily but their flash made me a believer. 10,000 miles later I'm writing this stupid post because I couldn't be happier with the motor on my FZ. I sent my ECU off and 5 days later I was riding where I knew within 1/2 of a block I had a completely different motor. I believe most of the folks who have had the 2WDW flash love the plug-and-play aspect as it gets them out riding instead of screwing around always trying to get the perfect tune. ![]() To be fair, if the OP is a person with a lot of discretionary money and likes to tinker as well as having a belief that their style of riding needs the perceived benefits of that kit, well have at it. There a lot of riders who are very happy with their 2WDW flash of which I am one. Then all you have to do is ride your freaking bike! Plus 2WDW will reflash your bike for only the cost of shipping if you make changes such as a new exhaust.ĭo your research on this site as well as the FZ09 site. The joy of 2WDW's one-and-done flash is that you basically plug in the flashed ECU and instantly get an amazingly smooth motor with more hp/torque plus a bunch of other cool/needed tweaks. You are essentially pissing away over $200 which could go toward other upgrades for the FZ/MT-07. That doesn't make any sense at all as you are paying $342 for the kit plus $150 to 2WDW versus $249 for their complete flash. Keep the kit, and have 2DWD send you a flash ($150).
